Subsidiary/Support Services: John Murphy Construction
Location: Kumasi
Purpose
To provide administrative support to the project and purchasing all materials, equipment, stationery and tools for the offices and site teams whiles ensuring efficient use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage re-order levels and prompt procurement on variances.
- Issue materials to production team against proper requisition process.
- Liaise with production supervisors on required materials and process purchase errors.
- Calculate and issue fuel for production, deliveries etc. upon approval of documentation.
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budget purchases.
- Supervise stock taking on quarterly basis, investigating discrepancies to minimize future errors.
- Receive all items ordered by procurement for safe keeping and generating goods received from suppliers.
- Perform daily stock take on routine basis.
- Coordinate all receipts from user departments.
- Supervise and allocate drivers to daily tasks per inbound and outbound schedules.
- Monitor and renew road worthy and insurance of company vehicles.
- Implement transportation administration policies and procedures to optimize transport services.
- Collaborate with managers and drivers to plan transport routes and proper schedules.
Competencies
- Experience in logistics and supply chain fields.
- Knowledge in fleet management and transportation practices.
- Experience in construction and equipment environment is ideal
Qualifications/Experience
- BSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- Two (1-2) years’ experience years in similar role
