Subsidiary/Support Services: John Murphy Construction
Location: Tema Freezones Enclave
Purpose

To provide administrative support to the project and purchasing all materials, equipment, stationery and tools for the offices and site teams whiles ensuring efficient use. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops purchasing plans for all equipment, services, and office supplies.
  • Sources for products and services by conducting market research for making purchasing decisions.
  • Reviews and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options for cost effective purchases.
  • Negotiates with vendors the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Ensures vendors meet service level agreements with regards to delivery time and quality.
  • Maintains records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Develops and maintains relationship with suppliers for easy facilitation of procurement.
  • Ensures that office stationery is available and coordination of supplier to various users.
  • Monitors and maintains stock reorder levels.
  • Collates all requests for office stationery and tools from users.
  • Liaises with oversea suppliers and tracking of oversea procurement, through shipment, clearing with customs and delivery of materials to site.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications/Experience
  • A Degree, preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum three(3) years’ experience in similar role.
