Purpose
To map, measure, gather and assess geographical data to interpret for use in construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The use of total station or ops to define the material to be calculated.
- The use of MS Office to convert data from CSV to string file.
- The use of surpal software to calculate the volume of material.
- The use of autocad software to extract the building or structure coordinate to set out.
- The use of the total station to set those extracted coordinates on ground.
- Use of GPS instrument to pick the reduced levels of an area to determine curvature of the terrain.
Competencies
- Knowledge in construction drawings and design for both road and building.
- Understanding on topographic surveys
- Knowledge in construction project management
Qualifications/Experience
- BSc Geomatic Engineering
- Minimum of (3) years’ experience years in similar role
